I've posted about this on Instagram and my Facebook page but I wanted to make sure I put a follow-up post here on the blog. The results of the 2015 P&B Textiles and Pattern Observer Textile Design Competition are in and I was first runner-up! You'll remember that a short time back I was one of the top ten semi-finalists which meant I was invited to create one additional coordinate pattern for my collection. Although I won't be getting the licensing contract with P&B, it was a really exciting experience and nice validation that I'm moving in the right direction. Plus I have a great new collection for my portfolio! Many thanks to Pattern Observer for hosting the competition, to P&B Textiles for this wonderful opportunity for new designers (and for such positive feedback on my own designs), and to the sponsors for such fun prizes. Congratulations to Amy Reber for her winning collection and to Julie Marriott, the 2nd runner-up!
