Hello there. Katie come lately here. Every time these holidays come around I think, what a great opportunity to make something myself! Why go buy valentines at Target when I can make something personal? Something unique! Something clever and pretty to boot! And I get lost down the rabbit hole of Pinterest and promptly drown in all my great plans and ideas. Reality check! Who has time for all this? But I persevered and paid too much for 2 day shipping nonsense, but I made classroom valentines for the kids. I have to say, I love this part. The part where I get a finished product. I had them printed with rounded corners and full gloss and I think they turned out pretty cute.
Once I had valentines for the kid's classmates I wanted something for their teachers. The kids get really excited about giving their teachers something for Valentine's Day, or just about any day really. Last year I figured teachers probably didn't need or want excessive boxes of candy, so I gave them tea. That seemed to go over well, why reinvent the wheel, we're going with tea again this year. I worked up this little circular card to go with the tea (what's Valentine's Day without some kind of awful pun?) and decided to turn it into a printable for all of you - in case you're still floundering in ideas and big plans like me. Relax, soon it will all be over and you won't have to make plans for a holiday until Halloween.
Viola! Some tea bags, a little chocolate, a little cello bag, bad pun tag - done!
Happy Valentine's Day, loveys!
